When you change the boot device options, was the 4M-SAMSUNG CD-R/RW DRI first in the boot order (above the hdd)? Failing that, you can remove the BIOS battery for a few minutes to reset. Hi When I try and start up my Windows XP I get this message "Disk read error occurred press Ctl+Alt =Del to restart. I just looked under setup and under hard drive it says 137 gb hard drive. Whenever I get this error, I shutdown my computer for 5-6 hours and then it works fine. Hi Managed to get into the BIOS utility setup- unfortunately over here in AUS I've got to get to work. At least it works now!! Just copying the file you download onto the USB drive won't work.Also you need to make sure your system is booting from USB before the hard drive in the system BIOS.
