VERY appreciated. That is a lot of data, pictures, and movies that can be stored. And to make matters worse, a disk read error might not actually mean there's a problem with the hard drive itself! G'day champ I have my Windows XP installation CD siiting in the drive and booted the PC, held down F2 and now I'm in BIOS setup utility and have moved into Disk Read Error Windows 7 Hard drives with moving platters have a MTBF (mean time between failure) of 3 to 5 years.
