DLNA is an open protocol based on UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) and therefore can work on any operating system. The only solution here is transcoding, which is basically on-fly recoding of source video/audio to target video/audio. I had an older version and so I downloaded the latest release last week (5.1.1.1).
