Guest account does not need to be enabled in order to get streaming to the PS3, at least in my experience.

Unfortunately, I'm running the client from a PS3 and of course I get the 501 error when trying to use the video portion. May I suggest, you buy a PS3 or find a friend that has one and let me know how it works for you rather than making a bunch of assumptions.
