I have my PS3 in the DMZ on my router (Netgear 3500l-100NAS) and it sees the synology diskstation fine, as well as other media servers I run on my Mac (psemediaserver) I've now gone and ordered a couple of Solwise 200 homeplugs and a Belkin N1 Vision modem/router. My PS3 is now often reporting a DLNA 2104 error. Cheers. The PS3 keeps telling me DLNA and network errors are occcuring, most often DLNA error 2104. Should I see the media server if i'm connected wired or wireless? variable bit-rate audio, constant bit-rate audio - still got the same "disconnected" errors, the odd 2104 DLNA error, and a couple of others.
Went back to basics. Hope this helps as a workaround to Sony's software problems. No more errors. Ps3 Media Server Went to VideosClicked on add sourceSelected UPnP ServersAfter I did that nothing showed up.

But first: Ps3 Media Server is a great program you can use to stream photos, movies, music and videos from your computer to your Sony Playstation 3. I don't think the PS3 itself is to blame, I think the problem is with wireless networking itself.

Not sure what Sony did back in firmware ~2.5 but it used to work flawlessly. check my blog With the Linksys router being borrowed, I'm unlikely to flash that, but might try it on the Belkin. I then tried switching off the Windows firewall (despite having the necessary ports open for media sharing). The only Thing i had to do is change my Wireless Connection in the Router Menu from 802.11g to 802.11b Then everythings fine... Dlna Server Error 7531

I have even disabled sharing on the PC, deleted the unknown device (PS3) and re-added it. Dlna Protocol Error 7531 But the XviD's both play fine from a USB stick in the front of the PS3. When I log into the PC, I log in as me, which is an admin account.
You 'd have to look it up in the router database, where it will tell you if it is possible and link to the firmware and directions. Make your ps3 get the same IP every time from your router. boon88, Dec 5, 2008 Dec 7, 2008 at 11:35 AM Pete Delaney, Dec 7, 2008 #30 Pete Delaney Well-known Member Joined: Mar 14, 2005 Messages: 3,111 Products Owned: 0 Products Wanted: Dlna Protocol Error 2101 AL Thanks x 1 List AL_B, Nov 25, 2008 Nov 25, 2008 at 4:37 PM boon88, Nov 25, 2008 #19 boon88 Standard Member Joined: Nov 24, 2008 Messages: 19 Products
