I tried both of those ways. Compression changed from xz to gzip for the main module, all extra modules for download and remstering scripts. Use b43 LP-PHY firmware (firmware-b43-lpphy-installer package) instead. again thanks for all your help.

According to the errors you posted, you need the package b43-fwcutter download it from packages.ubuntu.com and install it as described in my answer. Included clearRAM script in case you have very old machine (128 - 256Mb RAM). It gives me an error "firmware-b43-installer (4.150.10.5-4) ...
