I removed it thinking that maybe there was a conflict. About an hour ago we noticed it was off the air, when we returned to the studio to check it we had a black screen. Anyway, the issue was resolved by plugging SATA cable into a different port on the motherboard. If possible, try another SATA outlet on motherboard or another SATA cable if available.

DMA settings - You may have DMA disabled for your CD-/DVD-ROM and recorder devices. CSEL - If your devices are jumpered with CSEL, your controller could be having trouble with this setting. It does OK with CD drives. But instead of port 0 its port 2.
